Homemade, Natural Anti-Microbial Cleaner

Toxicity is an ever-increasing problem in our world today. Unfortunately, a toxic environment can have a very negative impact on you and your family’s health and well-being. It is important to consider what you are cleaning with and what chemicals and harmful ingredients could be contributing to the toxic load within your home.

Using natural items such as white vinegar and essential oils for cleaning are not only better for the environment, but safer for you and your loved ones as well. You will also find that over time making your own products is affordable and rewarding.

This anti-microbial cleaner is a wonderful, non-toxic alternative for an effective all-purpose cleaner. Prepared with health-promoting essential oils, this cleaner offers potent cleaning ability without harmful toxins contained with conventional cleaning products.

This recipe is appropriate for many surfaces including counter tops, cutting boards, doorknobs, in the bathrooms, and pretty much anything else you wish to clean. If you are unsure about a certain surface, test an inconspicuous spot to see how it responds.

This chosen blend of essential oils was chosen provide protection from various microbial threats including various bacteria, viruses, molds, and other infectious agents. I’ve included orange, clove, cinnamon, eucalyptus, and rosemary. These oils are extremely effective in killing pathogens within the air and on surfaces. White vinegar has naturally occurring anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties. Vinegar is also effective at cutting grease and mineral deposits as well as dispelling unpleasing odors.

Make an effort to use a glass spray bottle as essential oils can increase the likelihood that contaminants from plastic could be leached into your end product. Using an amber or colored glass is even better as it will help preserve the integrity of the essential oils in this cleaning product.
