5 Important Prayers For Your Family on Halloween

Halloween is a time when our kids are surrounded by spooky decorations, fun costumes, and candy-filled excitement. But as Christian moms, we also know that this day can come with a mix of emotions—whether it’s concerns about safety or wanting to keep the focus on Jesus in a season that can seem covered in darkness. That’s why prayer is so powerful.

By inviting God into the day, we can cover our families in His protection, peace, and light. We can also use prayer to soften the hearts of our neighbors who might not know Him yet! After all, no other night brings young families out of their homes quite like October 31. 1. A Prayer For Protection

Father, I ask for Your protection for my family. During the Halloween season, my kids are exposed to so much darkness. Demons and death seem to be celebrated. Young children will come to our door dressed as characters in shows we don’t watch in our home, and our kids’ friends will wear costumes bordering on R-rated. Please shield my child’s heart and mind from the darkness. May the light of Your goodness and love shine the way tonight. Shield my child from dark images, dark thoughts, and anything else that seems to glorify everything that You are not. And keep my child physically safe. Thank You, Lord. Amen.
