Lisa Rowell is a writer and speaker. Her heart beats for encouraging women, supporting parents in their role as a child’s first and best teacher, and pointing people to Jesus.
After graduating from Samford University, Lisa worked for Southern Living magazine where she published her first article and enjoyed sampling goodies from the test kitchen. (And, yes, even the food that doesn’t make the final cut is delicious!)
Since then, Lisa has been on staff or written for popular parenting brands such as Kindermusik International, Reading Rainbow, and Parenting magazine. Her work has also been included in numerous Christian magazines, and Bible study and devotional collections and supported the missions of dozens of non-profits devoted to make our world a more livable and loving place.
More recently, Lisa served as the Communications Director and Online Church Director for a large multi-site church in north Atlanta. She also served as the Brand Manager of Family Christian and podcast host of The Carpool Line Podcast. Her highly-rated books, including Simplifying Rest: Stop Living Exhausted & Start Living Restored, are available on Amazon.
Lisa Rowell lives in north Atlanta, with her husband of 25+ years, Clay, and their two daughters, Emerson and Ellery.
