Jesus is Unmasked

God chose to enter into human history in complete weakness. The all-powerful God appeared unmasked. In Jesus of Nazareth, God appears as a small baby to disarm the prince of darkness who rules the world, He unmasked the illusion of power as he brought the divided human race to a new unity. The unity of love.

The God of the universe chose to come down to us in complete weakness to display the power of love. Through unmitigated and total powerlessness God shows us divine mercy….

God dwells secretly in all hearts, He is hidden in the substance of the heart, for otherwise they would not last

God came down to put his fingerprints on all souls. In the garden, God scooped up dirt from the ground to form the first man, Adam. God breathed life and proclaimed it was very good. Every person since Adam has value as God’s crowning achievement. As ennobling it is to bear witness to God’s likeness, far nobler is having the Spirit of God dwelling in us.

In these difficult times it is difficult to remember that the mind of God is behind all things. Not even the smallest detail of life happens unless God’s will is behind it. Therefore, we can rest in perfect confidence in Him. Prayer is not merely asking but is an attitude of the mind which produces the atmosphere of asking is perfectly natural, “Ask, and it shall be given to you…” (Mathew 7:12).

It is hard (if not impossible) for humanity to grasp His divine mercy. We keep praying to the “almighty and powerful God,” But all power and might is stripped away as God chose weakness. He says “when you see me, you see the Father.” If we truly want to love God, we look at the man of Nazareth, whose life was wrapped in weakness. His weakness opens up for us the heart of God. The Key to loving in the face of adversity. At that time, Jesus said:

“I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this was your good pleasure.” (Matthew 11:25-26)
