Jodie Frye has a passion for weaving God’s Word together with her words to create a place for grace. Her hope is to help you to see your problems in light of the Promises and your brutal in hope of the Beautiful. “The longer I’ve walked with Him through the valleys of grief and mountaintops of joy, the more I’ve experienced the tenderness of His love, the faithfulness of His plan, and the grace of a good, good Father.”
Jodie’s first book, Coming to Light: An Advent Experience Through the Book of Luke, will be making its debut this November, just in time to celebrate Christmas! And though this is her first published work, Jodie has been writing in various forms for many years, including orphan care curriculum, Bible study material, social media and guest blog posts on life and faith, and now for our community of women at Family Christian.
Jodie lives in Chelsea, Alabama, one of the state’s fastest growing-yet-tranquil cities just outside of Birmingham. She has been married to her husband and best friend for 23 years, and together they are the co-founders of Altar84 and the Know More Orphans initiative, which merged with Lifeline Children’s Services in 2019. Eric and Jodie are currently preparing for the launch of YouMatter, an online platform with the mission of inspiring others to serve and take action through the realization that they were created by God, in the very image of God, with a unique and intentional purpose.
But their greatest joy and calling together has been raising their three sons. Garrett and Austin (twins) have been playing baseball since they were a wee four years old and are entering their Junior year at Birmingham-Southern College. Garrett is majoring in business finance and management and Austin in business marketing with a minor in psychology. Preston is a high school sophomore, golfer, and all-around difference maker. “Parenting has been the most ‘brutiful’ and enduring yes we’ve ever said to the Lord. It is a hidden and holy calling ~ one we will forever champion for the glory and grace of God.”
